Coverage includes the experiences of the men who served, the stories of those who died, food shortages and the resort's economy. Charles Beresford has obtained information from various parts of the world, including Canada. The Canadian Convalescent Officers' Hospital was in Matlock Bath. The author has visited many of the graves - one quite moving touch is that soil from the Derwent Gardens was sprinkled beside a War Grave in Poland. The book contains the following rolls of honour – Matlock Bath (over 250 names), Belgian refugees known to have lived at Matlock Bath, Scarthin and Cromford, Nursing Sisters, Commissioned Officers and Voluntary Aid Detachment known to served at the Canadian Convalescent Officers Hospital, This is a large book in every sense of the word, it is 30 by 21.4 cm and weights just over 2 kg. By Credit or debit card via PayPal.
Cheques, Postal Orders etc: We can accept payment by cheques etc. Please do not send a cheque with order as availability of books and amount of postage to be paid will determine what you owe.

Overseas Customers: We can only accept payment by credit card.

POSTAGE
Books will usually be posted as First Class packets or as standard parcels, depending on the size and weight of the order. Costs will be kept to a minimum by using recycled packaging material whenever possible. The cost of postage will be agreed before payment is taken for the order.
